BEAST Interview in Cool Magazine, China.
First Impression that doesn’t seems to be first impression
Just like what Doojoon said when BEAST recorded the video, “In the last interview we are still (Sings) ‘Special! Special! Special!’ ”…. What? When was the last time? It was in Korea, where BEAST was at Cool’s photoshoot studio. (Rethink-ING) It was a war zone full of confusion, with handsome guys, rows and rows of clothes all over the place, one guy didn’t even get into the changing room to take off his top (Kikwang, we are talking about you!), one guy who we gave our everything to for him to take off his shades (Junhyung, we are talking about you!), one guy started the long jump competition in the studio (Yoseob, we are talking about you!), one curious guy sat in front of the video conferencing laptop that is linking to the shanghai headquarter ended up scaring the hell out of himself (He didn’t about the video conference) (Doojoon, we are talking about you!), one guy saw a pose made by GD in a magazine and just have to take a photo of himself in the same pose (Hyunseung, we are talking about you!), one guy took 18 selcas while the photographer was distracted (Dongwoon, we are talking about you!)… Of course, this was just the tip of an ice berg. Eventually, Cool’s Korea office became a battered war zone after the photoshoot. The staff in Korea video conference-ed back to the office in Shanghai, “Oh my god! This is too much! They are so playful!”
So, when we knew that this meeting would be a short one, Cool was very unsettled/disturbed. And things turned out just as expected, when we were running all over, BEAST were all relax and fools around. They were busying discussing among themselves as to what pose to take when we gave them the “Heart” theme, but Cool has got no mood to appreciate this family love, we noonas kept telling them to “look at the camera… look at the camera… look at the camera… please… T.T” And, the guy who were suppose to gather things up, the self proclaim “full of curiosity” guy, yoon leader, was already exhausted. Instead it was Yoseob who round things up, chipping in “stop playing, let’s do this quick!” here and there. Cool says thanks to him! Orz.
Yong Junhyung Mystery Hook (T/N: his mystery appearance makes people curious about him)
Junhyung was adorned with shades that we could not see through even when we were standing one metre away and shoes with spikes that make us afraid of approaching him. His expressions seem to be frozen in an “expressionless” mode, the most he did was to raise the corners of his mouth a little. It’s been said that he was “cold”, “showed a black face”, “low spirits”, “sick”. Even Cool’s photographer kept saying that he was really cool the individual shoots for the magazine. (???)
If you cannot withstand the distantness that was coming from him, then you were going to regret what happened next. He was sincere when answering our questions, his eagerness to explore Cool did not lose out to others, (???). He forgot himself a little when he was spoke about filming a car CF. You can see him sling an arm over Yoseob’s and Doojoon’s shoulder (he was sitting between them) and give it a little squeeze whenever either of them had finish answering a question. Sometimes he would lower his head, looking like he was not in the mood, but he was playing with the safety pin that was in his hands. He poked Yoseob and Doojoon with it. Poor boys need to endure the pain and give an interview at the same, thanks for the hard work… Chuckles.
Yoon Doojoon Playful Man with Style
A man with big actions, a man with the reputation of Pose King. He was constantly acting cool. He would create an atmosphere for himself with “Yahoo! Yeah~ Hohoho…” when we asked him to smile lively. It almost cause internal injury to people who are at the side trying to hold in their laughter. Even the man himself started laughing at his own actions. Ah, what a peace to the mind. There were also times where he questioned himself how he should pose, but the gestures he made did not seem like he had a difficult time at all.
He became the teacher to his members when it comes to posing for the “Heart” theme. Other than using two hands to form a heart shape, he and Yoseob also explained another way of forming a heart: make a hook with both of your index finger and join your palm together. Other than let, Doojoon also asked Cool to photoshop away a bruise on his arm after completing his individual shoots.
This time round we asked the boys to take selcas of polariods. However, after a very enthusiastic Doojoon had taken his selca and passed the instax to Yoseob, he realized that Manager hyung was also in the photo. (Manager hyung, “Aigoo, Hyung ah, really is photogenic!”) We have no choice but to ask Doojoon to take another one. He immediately wanted to snatch the instax back from Yoseob, however Yoseob had already passed it to Dongwoon. Yoseob made a funny face at Doojoon, and all he could do was to wait. In the end, he took 2 more photos and stealthy exchange it to a better one which is to be given to the fans. (something about caring about his image)
Yang Yoseob The Leader Who Supervise
He gets shy easily for someone who claim to be tough. However, he was very adorable when he throw tantrums. We really doubt his “existence”, it was as if he would disappear if we didn’t take note of him. During the internet media interview, everybody was supposed to answer one question. When it was finally Yoseob’s turn to answer, he went to take the mic eagerly only to be stopped by Doojoon who passed the mic to Dongwoon, saying that they should start from the maknae. Upon such a wicked Doojoon, he turned away and pouted, saying “Yes, we should start from the maknae, hmmph!” When the media asked them about the food that they want to eat, without thinking twice, Yoseob shouted, “xiao long bao! (meat bun)”, and his pronunciation is good! He repeatedly expressed that he is not the only one who wants to eat it, and he also wants to introduce it to Hyunseung who love noodle-like food.
Yoseob was the supervisor throughout the interview with Cool, constantly saying, “faster, faster…” He had help a lot and made this a very efficient interview session. Although there were times during the interview where his mind drifted off, there were also areas that he reacted passionately about. He and Dongwoon would point at Cool’s reporter and say that she looks like A Pink’s Namjoo, and even wanted to sing A Pink’s songs together. When Hyunseung pointed out the counter at the back of the instax, Yoseob quickly realized that they can each take a selca for themselves to keep. So all of them took one in funny poses, including Junhyung. All of them laughed hysterically after looking at each other’s. As for Yoseob, he must have felt shy for being so cute in front of many people, he turned to the wall and high five the wall… We were really curious what his expression was. Orz.
Song Dongwoon Possessed by Chopper
Dongwoon was constantly carrying out 4 actions at anytime. When being requested to act cute, he would imitate Orange Caramel, plus make a “Aing” sound, plus putting a “V” sign at the side of his face, plus squeezing out a wink. He got so shy at his own actions that he covered his face, leaving it to this hyungs who apologized profusely. During the internet media interview, when Yoseob passed him the mic, he only took the mic cover, causing the mic to drop on the floor. While the other members were still caught in the situation, he already thought of a joke to dissolve the embarrassment. He said to the mic, “The weather is too hot, he took off his clothes because he wants to go for a swim. Yah, you! Put your clothes back on!”
He spotted a Chopper pen lying on the table after entering through the door and said, “Ah! Chopper~” He approached and asked Cool, “Do you like Chopper? Wawo~” Dongwoon completely stole away the pen, which belonged to Cool’s reporter. He constantly open and close the pen, (something about playing surgery on the Chopper pen)… Seeing Chopper pen being trampled upon, the owner’s internals were painfully crunched up. But the urgent problem was to find pen, “Who can lend me some pen ahhhh!!!!”
He got all excited and started dancing around when he saw the photoshoot for the previous magazine. (T/N: because the concept for it was One Piece). He answered every question that was asked about One Piece and even explained to Junhyung about Zoro’s skills…. But all of these cannot be compared to the joy he had when we linked him up with Chopper. From that moment on, he kept saying “I am Chopper~ Hahahaha!” However, Chopper Woon was not always optimistic, just when he was asked to stand in front during the photoshoot, he refused to, saying, “I don’t wanna, Yoseob’s face is too small, I don’t wanna stand on the same line as him!!!”
Lee Kikwang The Confuse/Blur King of the New Generation
Having a shape nose with high nose bridge, curly eyelashes – this is the side profile that Kikwang is proud of. Although he continually state that he is 170.8 cm tall, his height don’t seems to be an obstacle aesthetically. When the manager reminded him about heart gestures, “Kikwang Kikwang! Heart! Heart!”, he replied in a whining tone and placed his hands on his chest, “Isn’t this Heart?” When Cool asked him to stand forward, he popped out through the tiny gap between Doojoon and Hyunseung. When Cool asked BEAST to smile, he started laughing hollowly, “Hahahahahah hahahahahah hahahahahah.” This laughing session ended just as fast as it was started. It soon became a bitter “Hur~~~~~” Excuse me, is this part of acting? Laughs.
He was in a mess of confusion/blur during the interview, he seems to be more interest in Cool than the interview. (Sweats) He buried his head into the dietary planning section of Cool magazine, it looked like his soul already flew to some restaurant. His eyes were sincere looking when he took the polariod selca, his eyes were sincere looking when he took his individual photoshoot, his face was sincere looking when he hum to the tune of One More Chance. Okay, maybe this was not about looking sincerely, rather, it’s dazing, it’s confusion/blur….
Jang Hyunseung Out from the Mystery
Aside from being hyperactive in the resting room – constantly singing and dancing, Hyunseung is also blur. (T/N: I think 4d would have been a better word.) Whenever a question was cast for him, he was so blur he would ask us with a smile, “What was the question just now…?” He also had a hard time posing for the “Heart” theme during the group photoshoot. He would murmur “wait” when everyone else was ready with their pose, then he would play with his fingers trying to get the Heart as if his life depend it. Only after checking here and there, then he was ready for the shoot. He was still confuse and having difficulties with the Heart gestures when it was time for his individual shots. His fingers almost cramp from all the twisting, trying to get the gestures right. When he had no choice left, he looked around desperately for help. Aww. In the end he returned to his normal self.
At times when he does not know what to say, he would flip the magazine, he would always check his hair with the Hello Kitty mirror before taking photos. His style today focuses on the details, perhaps he was too influenced by GD. Mix-coloured retro leather shoes and leopard print belt – seems like someone was flirting discreetly. Laughs. Also, this guy had control over the instax, the photos came out surprisingly good. Cool, “Hey, it’s not bad! Your hair is fantastic today!” Hyunseung (surprised), “Oh! …. Arigato…” (realizes he is in China) “Ah, xi-” (T/N: he was trying to say xie xie, which is thank you in mandarin) All, “Hahahahaha!”

Just a normal teenage girl that love changes (In a goodway). Love music more than anything. Love to eat, sing, dance, write,exercising, watch tv, and many more.. (Which take me a whole year to list).
